At Meredith Infant School we endeavour to promote a love of learning through a rich, vibrant and engaging curriculum. Many pupils within our school community are disadvanatged and therefore it is vital that our curriculum powerfully addresses social disadvantage. We plan to ensure children learn as much as possible through real life or imaginary hooks and experiences these include topics such as Dinosaurs and The Farm in the Early Years, The Titanic and Percy the Park Keeper in Year One and Castles and Traction Man in Year Two, to name but a few! Each topic is personalised to the needs and interests of our learners and includes many trips and visitors. We believe in taking the statutory curriculum and making it our own so that it enthuses and motivates children to discover and learn.
