Headteacher’s Welcome

Meredith Infant School is a happy place to learn.  Ofsted judge us to be a good school.

We work hard to make our school a happy and engaging environment for the children in our care; a place where we grow, play and learn safely together.  We set high expectations in everything we do and strongly believe in the importance of the core skills of reading, writing, mathematics and communication.

Each day we welcome approximately 270 children to the school to learn across 9 classes, 3 in each year group. The school is housed within a beautiful Victorian building with a more modern extension housing the hall and office.

We believe that primary school education is an experience that all children should enjoy to the full. We therefore offer a broad and balanced curriculum.  The multi-cultural dimension of our school community is another strength; we celebrate our many diverse backgrounds, helping our children to become positive and responsible citizens.

We strive to build strong relationships with our parents and we value and encourage their involvement and support. We have high expectations of what children can do and we work hard, encouraging parents to support us, in order that our children can make the best possible progress.

Please take some time to browse our website; it is full of information and should give you a flavour of what goes on but please do come and visit so we can show off our wonderful school and tell you our story.

If you require a paper copy of anything on our website please ask at the school office.

Kind regards,
 Mrs Lucy Carroll - Headteacher
